The magic fell Out of my pocket on the carousel The colors were cold Against the memory of a neon glow And by the time I made it up to the zenith I was already falling back to the planet On my way back down I searched every face in the crowd I was looking for you I was looking for you Everywhere What’s left behind Sleeping underneath the corkscrew ride? Trash and loose change A buried treasure From a better day And by the time I made it up to the zenith I was already falling back to the planet On my way back down I searched every face in the crowd I was looking for you I was looking for you Everywhere I was looking for you I was looking for you Everywhere I was looking for you Looking for you Everywhere What’s left behind? What was yours? What was mine? And by the time I made it up to the zenith I was already falling back to the planet On my way back down I searched every face in the crowd I was looking for you I was looking for you Everywhere I was looking for you I was looking for you Everywhere

Call over the mountains I'm in the water, been wading here for hours Singing your name again Maybe I'll wake up from it someday In a familiar place You're somewhere on Saturn Kicking your feet over Her rings keep on turning While the third planet's smoldering Maybe I'll wake up from it someday In a familiar place It's all part of this ten year plan I made It's getting hard moving through life like a hurricane Down through the rain clouds I hear a lullaby Somebody once sang me Over a cricket cry Maybe I'll wake up from it It's all part of this ten year plan I made It's getting hard moving through life like a hurricane It's all part of this ten year plan I made It's getting hard moving through life like a hurricane

A picture book, a paper letter Remember when I knew you better? You were my bank, I was your debtor Remember then? I knew you better I read your book the day you wrote it I took a look and barely noted A simple friend, a simple pleasure Six out of ten I knew you better I heed your word I need your tether Your eager art you string together And all your friends, the light, the weather Remember them? I knew you better
4.
I wonder if the stars Will know that I'm alone And hold my lonely bones I wonder what they see I wonder what they dream A different gravity Leave me air I can be good and I'm cool I swear I just take a while to settle in But you'll love me if you know me if you know what I mean I leave the light on, I'm afraid of the dark But I can't believe that no one else has terror in their heart And everybody seems fine as they parade the city streets Saying that they're doing very well to everyone they meet And what's a dollar bill? What does it really buy? Can it cordon off the terror that we're really all alive? And everybody is scared, everybody is dumb Everybody is really wishing that they really were someone Leave me air I can be good and I'm cool I swear I just take a while to settle in But you'll love me if you know me if you know what I mean I could be something I could be number one But I've found it is so much easier to sit at home and wonder Whether I could slip away at night The city is asleep I could disappear away into the darkness I believe in Wait I care Hold on I'm coming up for air Wait I care Hold on I'm coming up Hold on I'm coming up For air Blue, blue water Will you be good to me? A different gravity

Thought I read myself in your story But I can talk myself into anything Pulled into the sky in a beam of light They opened up your mind and Stole the memories of you and me Dropped you down quietly Really had some heat for a passing fling But I can talk myself out of anything Guess I should give it time Guess I should be just fine If it was that easy for you to walk away When we still could be Singing songs in your bedroom Sleeping 'til the afternoon Walking round the reservoir Wondering how far is too far Pulled into the sky in a beam of light They made you change your mind Stole the memories of you and me Dropped you down quietly
6.
I'm cool Just take it from me Been there, done it Easily What if they find me out? They hear what I'm about Realize I'm someone else I'm bad Take it from my friends They don't go here You don't know them What if they find me out? They hear what I'm about They flip me upside-down Shake all my spare change out What do I tell myself now? Turn inside-out to see What's hiding in the weeds I'm chill I'm not losing sleep Over what they say about me What if they find me out? They hear what I'm about They flip me upside-down Shake all my spare change out What do I tell myself now? Turn inside-out to see What's hiding in the weeds Tangled up endlessly

Boom Run 03:41
Acrophobia Kicked in full paranoia High in a gondola Old neuroses Back again to check in on me No, I haven't changed a thing Nothing I'm always right behind Like a private eye Cautious, petrified Follow the leader She is little with speed fever Where can you learn to be that free? Was it in our blood and they just left none for me? My sister raced the sun all the way down boom run That day was almost done, they melted down into one I felt the fear in me slowly unraveling I followed with clenched teeth, keeping one eye behind me You never know when it gets this cold No, you just never know when it comes to people My sister raced the sun all the way down boom run That day was almost done, they melted down into one I felt the fear in me slowly unraveling I followed with clenched teeth, trying to warm up cold feet My sister raced the sun all the way down boom run That day was almost done, they melted down into one I felt the fear in me slowly unraveling I followed with clenched teeth, settling into full speed

Sometimes our bodies turn their backs on us Sometimes the world opens and swallows us Sometimes our minds fill up Capsize Tragedy’s out of sight Waiting like a landmine Sometimes our bodies turn their backs on us
9.
Timekeeper 02:46
Double knotting Pulling beads on strings Trying to catch all of the same bad dreams I've been having since I was thirteen I would really like to get some sleep Who is keeping time? I really would like to know I've been sitting alone all night Sitting at home too blind to see the way And it's difficult every day It's difficult every day Why's it so difficult every day? Hang it high above my head Stop talking to my hands And asking them is anybody listening? Maybe if I say them all out loud They will dissolve Float up to the clouds Who is keeping time? I really would like to know I've been sitting alone all night Sitting at home too blind to see the way And it's difficult every day It's difficult every day Why's it so difficult every day?

about

Divine Sweater Presents: The Ten Year Plan is an album ripe with the anxieties of young adulthood: self-doubt, economic instability, social insecurity, and fear of impending doom. Throughout our twenties, we have each been asked countless times where we expect to see ourselves in five to ten years. Our album touches upon the ways in which we lie to ourselves and to others about the economic, professional, and social plans we have in place. More importantly, it addresses the fact that plans, for the most part, are nonsense anyway because life is totally unpredictable. Our songs tap into a few specific feelings: knowing you are living your life wrong, longing for a lifestyle that aligns with your passions, yearning for a fostering community, and doubting that any of these aspirations will ever even come to fruition. The album's themes are best summarized by the chorus of "A Different Gravity", a song about mental health and suicide: "Leave me air, I can be good and I'm cool I swear. I just take a while to settle in, but you'll love me once you know me if you know what I mean."

Instrumentally, our album is driven by thick vocal harmonies, melodic guitar lines, and a healthy dose of groove. Several songs are embellished with violin and cello ("Looking for You", "A Different Gravity", "The Boy Who Went To Space", "Boom Run", "The World Opens", and "Timekeeper"), flurries of brass ("Ten Year Plan" and "What if They Find Me Out?"), and ambient field recordings ("Looking for You", "What if They Find Me Out?").
